LUCE AMEN
COMPOSER/LYRICIST/PLAYWRIGHT

After living in New York City as a professional musician and author for over thirty years, writing songs, honing her playwrighting skills, and performing around the globe with five albums of original music including her song "Viva Fiesta," Luce has returned to San Antonio. She is currently hard at work to bring her musical GUADALUPE: THE MIRACLE to its fully-staged world premiere in San Antonio, Texas in December 2026. An earlier, condensed version of the budding production, then titled I WILL,  was featured Off-Broadway in the New York Thespis Theater Festival. 

Luce received her B.M. in Music Education from the University of Texas/Austin and her M.A. in Musicology from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Luce is  founder and director of the newly-created Miraflores Musical Ensemble. Writing arrangements and performing with them as they present her original musical numbers to varied groups of audiences, Luce is busy preparing  for the fully-staged production of her family-friendly Guadalupe musical. 

RICHARD ROSEN
executive producer

Richard Rosen, born in New York City and a resident of San Antonio for most of his life, is a man with a powerful career in the world of plays and musicals. He is a successful producer, director, and playwright, respected and admired for his decades-long work in the theater.

Richard founded the Magik Theater in San Antonio and headed it for thirty years. His lyrics and book for the musical ALICE propelled this production to enjoy successful tours in Texas and around the country. He produced Shakespeare in the Park for ten years, and he was the Artistic Director for the Luminaria Festival of Lights at Hemisfair, reaching a broad audience with a variety of theatrical and other artistic events presented throughout downtown San Antonio.

In addition to his ongoing creative projects today, Richard is currently collaborating with composer/lyricist/playwright Luce Amen, lending his theatrical expertise to bring her fresh new musical GUADALUPE: THE MIRACLE to production.

ANGELICA HERNANDEZ
Production Manager

Born and raised in San Antonio, Angelica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film, Television, and Theater from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a Master of Arts-Business in Arts and Creative Enterprise Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has nearly twenty years of experience in theater, contributing to numerous productions at theaters across San Antonio. 

Angela currently serves as the Artistic Director at The Overtime Theater dedicated to producing original scripts year 'round. She has worked onstage and backstage at The Overtime since 2010 and stepped into the role of Artistic Director in 2023. She has helped produce over thirty original scripts, including twenty world premieres and ten regional premieres, in her tenure as AD. Angela is proud to feature local talent in every production throughout the years, including artists of all ages, backgrounds, and experience.
